Brave Enough To Cross This Glass-bottomed Bridge Suspended Over A Canyon In China?

You have to be brave to walk across a glass bridge  suspended over a deep canyon! That's why the newly opened attraction in the Shiniuzhai National Geological Park in China's Hunan province has been named 'Haohan Qiao', meaning 'Brave Men's Bridge' in English.

The bridge is 300 metres- (nearly a thousand feet) long and spans a canyon that is 180 metres- (590 feet) deep in places. Its glass panes are 24mm- (about an inch) thick. The bridge's designers say it can carry the weight of 800 visitors at any given time.

China has announced plans for another glass-bottomed suspension bridge in the Zhangjiajie Canyon area, which is said to have inspired the scenery in James Cameron's film Avatar.
