The Pope's seven-months pregnant receptionist, 34-year-old Miriam Wuolou was found dead in her apartment on the outskirts of Rome. She had reportedly worked at Pope Francis' home and a priests' guesthouse called Santa Marta for years. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered N381m from Mrs. Omolara Amosu, the wife of the immediate past Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, who is in detention. EFCC sources said that the money was recovered in three tranches: N180m, N101m and N100m.

Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos today authorised the EFCC to seize assets belonging to a Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo. The judge authorised the EFCC to take possession of the assets pending when Tompolo will make himself available to answer the charges of N45.9bn fraud preferred against him and nine others.
