Petrol pump price: NLC, FG, to resume talks today


Leadership of the Nigeria Labor Congress and the Federal Government will continue with their negotiations on the increased petrol pump price. The negotiations will hold at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation at about 3pm today May 25th.

NLC went on an unpopular strike action last week which they called off on Sunday May 22nd.

NLC leaders are asking for the immediate reversal of the pump price from N145 to N86.50 and for the Federal government to stop the deregulation of the oil sector. They are also calling for the increase in minimum wage.

So a satirical online website falsely quoted former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, as saying:  'I’m telling you, I’ve been saying it for years, but nobody’s listening – slavery wasn’t forced onto African-Americans, they accepted it willingly.'
