The Registrar of Kogi State university, Dr Yakubu Abubakar released a statement today Sunday, Oct. 25, saying that 68 students of Kogi State University, Ayangba, were expelled for examination malpractice and poor academic performance. Abubakar said 19 of the affected students were expelled for various examination misconduct and 49 others withdrawn for poor academic performance.

Turkish fishermen rescued a group of refugees including an 18-month-old child who had been floating for hours in a lifejacket, and video of the dramatic rescue has been posted online. The Nigerian troops of 5 Brigade Nigerian Army have destroyed all Boko Haram camps and enclaves at the border towns of Kerenowa and Chikun Gudu as well as their contiguous villages in Borno State. A statement by  Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the  Acting Director, Army Public Relations  says that during the operation which is ongoing,  troops discovered and destroyed over 20 well fortified terrorist camps in the general area of Kerenowa.
